Summer Program Goes High-Tech

This summer, Book Cliff Elementary School is pioneering a new summer school program. Because their school subscribes to multiple on-line educational resources (ex. Raz-Kids, IXL Math) and has a "willing to try anything once" leader, students will get to experience a engaging and fun summer learning curriculum. Another teacher and myself are running the program. What makes this idea even more ingenious is that because it is almost entirely web-based, students that have internet access at home and participate without us even knowing it! To help promote learning even more, we will be working one-on-one with many students in reading and math to help promote skills and hopefully reduce summer slide. If you are interested in trying something like this in your school, homeschool group, etc., don't hesitate to ask for help. I am willing and able to point you in the right direction!
